Clinovo Sponsors Outsourcing in Clinical Trials Southern California Conference 2013, in La Jolla (CA), September 24-25
Date:8/29/2013

ClinCapture has been distributed for three years for phase I, II and IV studies with up to 20,000 patients, and sponsor companies have secured FDA approval using ClinCapture as their preferred Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system. Leveraging open source technology’s cost efficiencies, one customer saved up to 73% by switching from a proprietary system to ClinCapture.

Clinovo will also present CDISC® Express 1.1, the newest version of its open source SAS®-based clinical data management system that automatically converts clinical data into CDISC SDTM using an Excel framework. CDISC Express has been downloaded over 900 times since its launch in 2011, by leading sponsor companies as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the CDISC organization (cdisc.org). This 1.1 release follows the latest SDTM specifications, additional validation checks to the system, and new domains, including seven domains for medical device companies following the SDTM guide for medical devices.

Silicon Valley based Clinovo, which recently celebrated its 10th year anniversary, has strong relationships as a local service provider in California, with many of its medical device and pharmaceutical clients based in Southern California and the San Diego area. “Southern California is a dominant hub in our space”, says Sophie McCallum, Director of Operations who will be present at the conference. "We are excited to be exhibiting at a conference with key thought leaders speaking and presenting in a such dynamic geographic area for the life sciences industry”.
