Plymouth, MN (PRWEB) May 15, 2009 -- The CellGard Energy Saver (ES) NU-480 Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC) is now available in North America. The CellGard ES is a Class II, Type A2 BSC which features NuAire's exclusive TouchLink LCD Control Center, a DC-ECM motor, sloped window, and the longest filter life in its class.

The Direct Current, Electronically Commutated Motor (DC-ECM) provides the BSC its distinct energy saving characteristics. The motor not only operates at a constant airflow, it increases electrical efficiency, extends High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter life, and operates at lower noise and vibration than its counterparts. NuAire also selects the correct forward-curved fan for each size cabinet. This process improves motor efficiency, increases filter life, and lowers operational costs.

The exclusive TouchLink LCD control system provides accurate and simple user controls. TouchLink displays real-time airflow measurements, provides laboratory timers, an optional night-setback switch, and on-screen certification diagnostics and controls.

NuAire also includes the HEPEX exclusive zero-leak airflow system, ensuring cabinet performance and safety. The HEPEX system eliminates the possibility of cabinet leaks and guarantees uniform airflow and filter loading.

The CellGard ES is also ergonomic. Its design provides more legroom, staggered service valves, and armrests which reduce fatigue. When accompanied by an adjustable base-stand, users can adjust the height of the work-surface up to eight inches. The new 10 degree sloped, hinged window adds accessibil
