Caris Life Sciences erhält erste Akkreditierung als medizinisches Laboratorium nach ISO 15189 im Bereich Tumor-Profiling

IRVING, Texas, 20. Dezember 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wie Caris Life Sciences®, ein führendes Biotechnologieunternehmen und Innovator bei der personalisierten Medizin, bekanntgab, hat sein Tumor-Profiling-Labor in Phoenix im US-Bundesstaat Arizona von der American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) die weltweit erste Akkreditierung als medizinisches Laboratorium nach ISO 15189 „Medizinische Laboratorien - Besondere Anforderungen an die Qualität und Kompetenz" im Bereich molekulares Profiling erhalten.  In dem Labor von Caris finden die Genomtests in Zusammenhang mit Caris Molecular Intelligence™ statt. Dieser branchenführende und umfassende Tumor-Profiling-Service hat bisher Profile für mehr als 50.000 Krebspatienten auf der ganzen Welt erstellt.  Neben der Akkreditierung nach ISO 15189 hat Caris die CLIA-Akkreditierung (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) sowie eine lange Liste von Zertifizierungen vom US-Bundesstaat New York erhalten. Das Unternehmen betreibt außerdem eines der wenigen kommerziellen Biorepositorys, das vom College of American Pathologists (CAP) akkreditiert ist.
