Campbell Alliance Managed Markets Practice to Take a Leadership Role at the CBI Forum on Effective Product Pricing and Modeling Strategies

RALEIGH, N.C., April 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, today announced that its Managed Markets Practice will take a leadership role at the Premier Bio/Pharmaceutical Forum on Effective Product Pricing and Modeling Strategies hosted by the Center for Business Intelligence (CBI). The conference will be held on April 10 through 11 at the Doubletree Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Members of the Managed Markets Practice will have three separate responsibilities at the event. On the first day of the conference, April 10, Steve Carter, a Vice President in the Managed Markets Practice at Campbell Alliance will present a session titled "Identify and Overcome the Most Common Pitfalls in Pharmaceutical Pricing." Mr. Carter's session will cover

* Common mistakes made by pricing professionals, with real-world examples

to illustrate them

* Limitations in the way many companies approach pricing

* Insights into how decision makers can overcome these limitations

Also on April 10, Mr. Carter will join colleagues Keith Kelly and Lujing Wang, two Practice Executives from the Managed Markets Practice, to facilitate an in-conference workshop titled "Develop a Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy in an Evolving Payer Environment." During the three-hour interactive workshop, participants will discuss the evolving reimbursement environment, learn how to develop and execute strong payer strategies, and collaborate with other workshop participants to develop an actual payer value proposition and a contracting and pricing strategy.

Lastly, on April 11, Steve Carter will join three other industry leaders in a panel discussion titled "Analyze Various Schools of Thought Regarding Pharmaceutical Pricing Methodologies" at 1:45 pm. The panelists will discuss the different schools of thought in pricing methodology and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Steve Carter has provided consulting services to top pharmaceutical clients for more than a decade. His areas of expertise include pricing and contracting strategy, competitive assessment, research design, and analytical modeling. He holds a BS in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Keith Kelly provides management consulting services to pharmaceutical industry clients worldwide to increase their revenue and profits. Mr. Kelly has helped some of the leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the areas of pricing and contracting strategy, competitive assessment, research design, and analytical modeling. Mr. Kelly holds a BBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, where he majored in management and marketing.

Lujing Wang has helped many leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies successfully develop pricing, reimbursement, market access and medical affairs strategies in both the US and EU markets. His areas of expertise include health economics and outcomes research; financial, economic, and decision analytic modeling; as well as quantitative pricing research. Dr. Wang earned his Master of Public Health, Health Care Management from Harvard University School of Public Health. He also earned a Doctor of Medicine from Peking Union Medical College, and his undergraduate degree in pre-med was completed at Peking University School of Life Science.
