Cambridge Semantics to Present Smart Data Lakes Findings for Improved Pharma R&D at Bio-IT World Conference and Expo 2017
Date:5/23/2017

Cambridge Semantics, the leading provider of Big Data management and analytics solutions, is making a splash at this year’s Bio-IT World Conference and Expo in Boston May 23-25 with a featured speaker and solution demos of its upcoming Anzo Smart Data Lake® 4.0 solution. The Anzo Smart Data Lake is also a finalist for the Best of Show award.

James LaPointe, Managing Director of Life Sciences & Healthcare at Cambridge Semantics, will present use cases from top-tier pharma companies on how they are leveraging Smart Data Lakes to cut drug development times and costs. LaPointe’s session, titled “Smart Data Lakes - Transforming Pharma R&D, Customer Success Stories,” is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 24.

The company will also be demonstrating the new features of its Anzo Smart Data Lake at booth #344. The Anzo Smart Data Lake® (Anzo SDL) platform uses semantic graph models to link and contextualize diverse enterprise data at scale. The graph models in Anzo SDL provide users with self-service data discovery, analytics and visualization capability across all entities and relationships in the data lake. Anzo SDL includes the in-memory graph database, Anzo Graph Query Engine, which recently shattered a previous record of loading and querying a ‘trillion triples’ by 100x.

As a finalist in the Best of Show award category, a team of expert judges at Bio-IT World will be reviewing Anzo Smart Data Lake on site based on the product’s technical merit, functionality, innovation, and in-person presentation. Award winners will be announced at a live event on the Bio-IT World Expo floor at 5:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 24.

“We are looking forward to an exciting Bio-IT World this week, giving us the opportunity to show the incredible value and insights the pharma industry can gain from implementing our Anzo Smart Data Lake solution,” said Alok Prasad, president of Cambridge Semantics.

Held at the Seaport World Trade Center, the Annual Bio-IT World Conference & Expo has established itself as a premier event showcasing the myriad of IT and informatics applications and enabling technologies that drive biomedical research, drug discovery & development, and clinical and healthcare initiatives. The Bio-IT World Conference & Expo attracts 3,300-plus life sciences, pharmaceutical, clinical, healthcare, and IT professionals from more than 40 countries.
