Cambridge College School of Management Program Hosts a Panel Discussion On Trends and Opportunities In Health Information Technology
Date:4/10/2013

ion technology is expected to increase by 21 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations."

According to Claritza Abreu , Chair of the Health Care Informatics program, the increased use of information technology bodes well for the future of the health care sector. "I am a true believer that through information technology, the health care industry will be able to improve quality of care, prevent medical errors, reduce health care costs, increase administrative efficiencies, decrease paperwork and expand affordable care. However none of this can be accomplished without a trained workforce to take on these comprehensive efforts."

Cambridge College offers master's degree and graduate certificate programs in health care informatics, healthcare management and senior care. "Our programs provide students with the skills and expertise necessary to manage, lead and contribute to a better health care system in the U.S.," says Dean Joseph .  As with all Cambridge College programs, students have the opportunity to complete a graduate degree within a high demand concentration while maintaining their full time employment and meeting family obligations.

The event is free and will take place from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the School of Management, 17 Monsignor O'Brien Highway in Cambridge, MA.  Students, faculty, alumni and the general audience are welcome to attend and participate in this discussion. For more information or to RSVP contact Nancy Napolitano at Nancy.Napolitano@cambridgecollege.edu, or call 617-873-0601.
