CSC Adds Content Management to Hosted Healthcare Offering

FirstPoint ECM Solution Available to Healthcare Organizations through CSC's

FirstPortfolio

FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that its enterprise content management (ECM) solution, FirstPoint, is now available through the company's FirstPortfolio offering. FirstPoint streamlines a health organization's document management processes and incorporates industry best practices in ECM.

Launched in October, FirstPortfolio provides users with a collection of applications that are hosted and maintained by CSC. With the addition of FirstPoint, FirstPortfolio offers a scalable Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007-based ECM solution.

"With the addition of this comprehensive ECM and collaboration solution, CSC's FirstPortfolio enables health plans to simplify their document management environment across many functions including marketing, sales and partner/supplier collaboration."

FirstPortfolio allows health plans to add new functionality in a fraction of the time required for traditional implementations while reducing financial risk and decreasing capital expenditures. Additionally, health plans benefit from a single contract that includes pre-negotiated prices for applications that are available through FirstPortfolio and CSC's data center management services.
