CME LLC Restructures, Announces Its New Executive Management Team

IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- CME LLC (, a leading provider of fully accredited continuing medical education programs since 1978, today announced its new structure and management team, put in place to create a flatter, more nimble organization, better suited to address the educational needs of healthcare professionals moving forward.

Effective January 1, Melissa Warner assumes the role of senior vice president and general manager, and Rich Caracio, Bob Donahoe and Peter Payerli become vice presidents of education initiatives. They join Niki Oquist, M.D., FAAP, senior vice president of medical affairs, and Barbara Winkelman, vice president of marketing and multimedia, to complete the management team. CME LLC also appointed Paul Koren as executive director of education initiatives.

"This new structure enables a more effective response to the quickly changing educational needs of healthcare professionals throughout the United States and beyond," said Warner. "Our executives can build expertise in their own areas while still leveraging the resources of the rest of the team. We'll also better serve healthcare professionals in their increasingly Web-based multimedia world and set CME LLC apart from its peers by more often tapping our parent company for competitive advantages in technology and content delivery."

Prior to joining CME LLC, Warner served as vice president and general manager of the oncology and radiology divisions of CMPMedica U.S. where she oversaw the ACCME-accredited Beam Institute and served as a member of the Alliance for CME since 2003. Warner has spent most of her career in healthcare, including positions at Medical World Communications, Excerpta Medica and Springhouse.

Four others have joined CME LLC's Education Initiatives department. Rich Caracio, Bob Donahoe and Peter Payerli have been promoted to vice president of education initiatives. Each previously served CME LLC as executive directors, contributing to revenue growth, as well as corporate strategy and direction. Paul Koren has been appointed as executive director of education initiatives, reporting to Rich Caracio. Prior to joining CME LLC, Koren was responsible for generating growth for the oncology division of CMPMedica U.S.
