SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Burrill & Company is pleased to announce the following promotions effectively immediately:

-- Mr. Bryant Fong to Managing Director -- Bryant joined Burrill in 1998

after working with two early stage companies as a biochemist and

molecular biologist. Bryant, a UC Berkeley graduate (with distinction

and honors) in Molecular and Cell Biology-Biochemistry, has served the

Venture arm of the company being involved in all phases of its growth.

-- Mr. Greg Young to Director -- Greg joined Burrill & Company in 2000 and

also worked as a molecular biologist for an early stage company before

joining Burrill. Greg received his BS degree from UC San Diego and his

Masters in Biotechnology from Northwestern University.

-- Tiba Aynechi to Senior Associate -- Tiba joined Burrill in 2006 after

serving as a post-doc at University of California San Francisco. She

received her PhD in Biophysics from UCSF and her undergraduate degree

from UC Irvine.

-- Jackie Tay to Associate -- Prior to joining the company in 2006 Ms. Tay

worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers

and at Stanford's Office of Technology Licensing. She holds a B.S in

Biology from Cornell University.
