Burrell Behavioral Health Improves Care and Patient Security by Implementing Hyland Software's OnBase
Date:3/1/2013

healthcare sales and solutions, said "OnBase is highly configurable and has been adapted to fit the specific needs of our behavioral health customers. We are proud to partner with Burrell and are excited about their long-term ECM deployment roadmap.  Burrell will leverage a broad range of OnBase capabilities to achieve new levels of productivity, patient engagement and privacy."

OnBase helps provide clinicians with a holistic view of their patients' medical history to stay ahead of patient issues while never leaving their EMR. "With OnBase, we will have all information readily available for those who are involved in patient care," said Brenda Fuller , vice president of medical records and support services at Burrell. "Having the ability to scan in referral information will allow our providers access to the information when they see the patient, improving the quality of care to those we serve."

Burrell is also implementing OnBase in its back office operations. Using e-signatures functionality in its purchasing processes, Burrell has created a workflow solution that will enable staff to sign off on all levels of the purchasing process, creating a completely paperless process. The health provider will also automate processes in its accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) departments by creating workflows to streamline its purchasing and revenue cycle management.
