Breakthroughs with Martin Sheen Exploring Environmental Cleanup In New Report

The producers of Breakthroughs with Martin Sheen are announcing a May debut for a new report into how environmental researchers are creating new methods to repair the natural world.

Breakthroughs Martin Sheen is an independently produced television series airing in markets around the country on public television. The program is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is about to embark on his second half-century in American entertainment in 2013. Mr. Sheen has developed a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most respected actors during a career that includes more than 60 film appearances.

In May, Martin Sheen PBS will introduce audiences to researchers who are working on innovative methods to repair the environment after chemical spills and other contamination. Bioremediation involves bringing microbes into contaminated sites that can break down harmful chemicals into compounds that are not harmful to the environment. In this new report, Breakthroughs will show audiences how this new approach saves money for taxpayers and private companies as they work to protect our fragile ecosystem.
