Biotest Pharmaceuticals Corporation Announces the Opening of its Newest Plasma Collection Facility in Kearney, Nebraska

BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Biotest Pharmaceuticals Corporation (BPC), a leading manufacturer of immunological biotherapeutic products, is pleased to announce the addition of its newest plasma collection center located at 5915 1st Avenue Kearney, Nebraska. The 15,200 square foot state-of-the-art facility officially opened its doors for business on November 29th, 2016 and brings the total number of BPC's plasma collection centers to twenty-two.

This facility is just one more step forward in our resolve to better serve the thousands of patients worldwide whose lives are enhanced through plasma-based therapies."   

BPC has invested approximately $1.8 million in renovations of this newly constructed facility. The Company expects to add over 40 jobs to Kearney's local economy and currently has employment opportunities available for medical personnel and phlebotomists. 

In addition to supporting the local economy through employment opportunities, the Kearney Biotest Plasma Center is actively recruiting local residents to donate plasma. Plasma donors not only contribute the source material for these plasma-derived therapies which save the lives of thousands of patients but are also compensated for their donations.
