Bioscience Career Fair in San Francisco Projected to Break Job Seeker Attendance Records

SAN FRANCISCO, April 2, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, the world's leading online bioscience job board and life science career fair company, will host the Biotech Bay(TM) Career Fair on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. The event will take place at the San Francisco Airport Marriott from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Life science professionals from across Northern California will attend the biotech job fair to meet face to face with leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Candidates will interview for careers with Abbott Laboratories, Bayer Healthcare, ClinAssure, Gilead Sciences, MedImmune, Pfizer, Roche Molecular Diagnostics, Yoh Scientific and many others. Companies at the event will be hiring to fill clinical research jobs, regulatory affairs jobs, biochemistry jobs, microbiology jobs, engineering jobs, quality assurance jobs and many other opportunities.

This is the second BioSpace Career Fair in San Francisco this year and an even larger candidate turn-out is expected. The first event, held on Monday, February 4, 2008 attracted over 1,000 talented job seekers. For the May 6 Career Fair, 35 of the top biotech and pharma companies have already signed up to exhibit and interview the pre-registered candidates.

To be admitted into the career fair candidates are required to have a four year degree in a relevant discipline and at least two years experience in a bioscience-related field.
