Bioscience Career Fair in San Diego Expected to Draw Record Jobseeker Attendance

MANASQUAN, NJ., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, the world's leading online bioscience job board and life science career fair company, will host the Biotech Beach(TM) Career in La Jolla, CA on Monday, April 21, 2008. The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla from 2 pm-7 pm.

Life science professionals from across Southern California will attend the biotech job fair to meet in person with leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Candidates will interview for careers with Affymetrix, Baxter Bioscience, Biogen Idec, GenProbe, MedImmune, and many others. Companies at the event will be hiring to fill pharmaceutical sales jobs, clinical research jobs, laboratory management jobs, science jobs, engineering jobs, formulation jobs and many other opportunities.

This will be the second BioSpace Career Fair in the San Diego area this year and a record crowd is expected. The first Biotech Bay Career Fair of 2008, held on January 31st at the Hilton Torrey Pines, attracted over 1200 pre-registered candidates.

To be admitted into the career fair candidates are required to have at least two years experience in a bioscience-related field or industry and hold a four year degree in a relevant discipline.
