BOISE, Idaho, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- A new professional services company has been launched focused on accelerating the connections of university-based bioscience research with commercial development opportunities. Bioscience Bridge is also supported by a team of consultants with experience in product strategy, marketing, business development, life science, legal, licensing and commercialization.

According to Ms. Travis, "We know that some of the best bioscience research comes from universities. Bioscience Bridge helps tech transfer offices at these universities get the technology out into the marketplace. This may be in the form of a start-up company or licensing agreements."

She adds, "We have the industry experience to bring the right companies to the universities."

University offices of technology transfer (OTT) have contacted Bioscience Bridge when they have a technology that is "stuck" or are looking for a technology portfolio evaluation.

Bioscience Bridge has several proprietary processes to assist OTTs:

  • Evaluation – using B.E.A.M.S.® to analyze university's specific technology or entire portfolio
  • Strategy – facilitating a Strategic GPS® to guide early stage technologies
  • Promotion – getting the right message in the right medium to the right people
  • Negotiation – assisting with the contract terms process leading to commercial agreements

Bioscience Bridge works with universities and life science companies around the world. They will be attending the AUTM 2010 Annual Meeting in New Orleans March 18-21, BIO International 2010 in Chicago May 3-6, and the Licensing Executives Society Spring Meeting in Boston, May 19-21.
