BioStorage Technologies to Host Global Sample Management Benchmarking Symposium in Conjunction with Biorepositories Asia Conference

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BioStorage Technologies, a global leader in scientific asset management, cold chain logistics and biomaterial storage for the bioscience industry, will host a half-day symposium in conjunction with the Biorepositories Asia Conference in San Francisco on April 11, 2011.

The Global Sample Management Benchmarking Symposium will bring together industry thought leaders to discuss new trends in international sample management. Additional topics include best practices to improve processes and services to support advancing scientific needs for current and future drug development. The symposium will be held the day before the main conference managed by the Institute for International Research (IIR).

"As personalized medicine and biomarker development continue to become an integral part of global drug development, it is imperative to explore best practices and regulations to ensure sample integrity is maintained," said Lori Ball, chief operating officer at BioStorage Technologies. "This symposium will provide an additional forum to discuss new trends during the IIR Biorepositories Asia event."

The symposium will feature a diverse cross-section of industry professionals each giving a 40- minute presentation. Presentations include:
