INDIANAPOLIS, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- BioStorage Technologies, Inc. (BST), a worldwide provider of long- and short-term storage of biomaterials, sample management and cold chain logistics, announces the recent promotion of Lori Ball to the newly created role of Senior Vice President.

Ball joined BioStorage Technologies in 2007 as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, where she led worldwide sales as well as corporate branding and domestic and international marketing. In her new role, Ball will now oversee operations, logistics, sample handling and processing, information technology and new service rollouts. She will also expand her role in representing the company through its involvement in trade associations and industry endeavors.

Ball is an industry expert on logistics, clinical supply chain and outsourcing who takes personal interest in mentoring others. She is an established industry thought leader and speaker with 2009 speaking engagements scheduled at the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories Conference and the Institute for International Research Biorepository Conference.

"I am truly excited for this opportunity and look forward to working more closely with our management team and the talented individuals across the company to build market dominance," said Ball.

"Lori's extensive experience and demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively are essential in the ever-evolving life science industry," said F. John Mills, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.

Prior to joining BioStorage, Ball was with Covance, Inc., a central laboratory services company, where she served as global head of sales/business development and global head of supply chain management and logistics.
