BioSpace Spotlights the growing Midwest Life Science Community

DENVER, July 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today BioSpace, the leading life sciences employment and news website, launched the 2012-2013 BioMidwest™ Hotbed Campaign, marking the campaign's ninth edition.

The campaign highlights leading organizations across Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin. Participating companies are included on an electronic and printed campaign map promoting members both online as well as at industry events and career fairs.

Eleven percent of U.S.-based jobs on BioSpace are posted in the BioMidwest Hotbed region. In addition, over the last year 69 companies in the area posted biotech, pharmaceutical and clinical research jobs on Biospace.com, and 20 percent of those jobs were at the director or executive level.
