The campaign highlights leading bioscience companies across the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. The electronic and printed Biotech Bay Hotbed map features each company's logo alongside an artistic rendering of its building. BioSpace promotes the campaign at industry events, career fairs and on its website.

Senior level positions account for 42 percent of jobs posted to the Biotech Bay Hotbed region. Moreover, 23 percent of all U.S.-based jobs on BioSpace are located here, and 15 percent of those are at the director or executive level.

Last year over 320,000 unique visitors from Biotech Bay area accessed news and researched biotech, pharmaceutical and clinical research jobs on Biospace.com.

"The Biotech Bay Hotbed serves as an industry icon, and we are proud to offer a portrait of this thriving community each year," said Chanille Hewett, life sciences product manager at onTargetjobs, the parent company of BioSpace. "This campaign's promotional resources have connected thousands of job seekers with amazing companies since its first edition 17 years ago. Placement on the Biotech Bay map offers substantial pride for all its participants, and we are excited as always for its latest release."

The campaign's sponsors include Rinat, Bayer, Bio-Rad, MedImmune, Roche Molecular Systems, Gilead Sciences, Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics and Astex Pharmaceuticals;  participant companies include Dynavax, SGS and InterMune.
