BioSpace New Jersey Career Fair Attracts Over 1,000 Bioscience Candidates

MANASQUAN, N.J., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, the world's leading online bioscience job board community and life science career fair company, welcomed over 1,000 biotechnology and pharmaceutical job seekers to the Pharm Country Career Fair in Bridgewater, NJ on February 4, 2008.

The 23 bioscience companies recruiting at the event interviewed candidates from a deep talent pool throughout the day. Sean Fitzmorris, Recruiting Manager at Bridgewater-based Enzon Pharmaceuticals offered, "Enzon has attended quite a few BioSpace Career Fairs and we will continue to exhibit at these events due to the number of quality job seekers that BioSpace is able to attract. The event on February 4th was one of the most productive events we have ever attended. We are confident that we have quite a few people who we will bring in for interviews. BioSpace continues to effectively market their events to the right candidates that we want to reach and introduce to Enzon. The BioSpace team is always helpful throughout the entire event process."

Paul Hoskins Head of Project Management and Planning for Galleon Pharmaceuticals added, "We walked away with 20 CV's that are of high quality and five to 10 candidates we will bring in for interviews, (the event was) successful."

The event was marketed and promoted specifically to life science professionals only. For admittance to the event, all candidates had to possess a four year degree in a relevant discipline, and have worked at least two years in a bioscience-related field or industry. As with every Career Fair, BioSpace pre-screened all candidates, and ended up turning away 21% of registered bioscience professionals based on qualification standards.
