BioSpace Launches 2nd Edition of Southern Pharm(TM) Hotbed Campaign

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, the leading online information source for life science careers and content and a subsidiary of onTargetjobs, launched the 2nd Edition of the Southern Pharm(TM) Hotbed Campaign this morning for the life science community of the Southeastern United States. The unique branding and awareness campaign highlights the organizations that constitute the dynamic biopharmaceutical industry in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The initiative features both promotional and functional components to work in conjunction with the economic and workforce development initiatives of the region. The much anticipated Southern Pharm Hotbed Map, created by BioSpace's artist, displays the logos and building pictures of participating companies. Various print collateral pieces featuring the iconic Southern Pharm image will be distributed to life science professionals at regional and international events throughout the year. The map is also available download on the Southern Pharm Homepage which maintains critical daily biopharmaceutical industry news and information from the region.

A number of different types of organizations are featured as part of the campaign, reflective of the diverse set of foci and talents necessary to grow a life science cluster. The effort includes bioscience companies engaged in R&D, service and supply providers to the community, and also research institutes, non-profit organizations and universities. Detailed online profiles of the participating organizations include contact information, career opportunities, and financial updates and history, and can be found through the Southern Pharm Homepage.
