BioSpace Career Fair in San Diego Draws Record Number of Bioscience Candidates

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, the leading biotech job board and life science career fair company, recently welcomed over 800 biotechnology and pharmaceutical job seekers to the first BioSpace Career Fair of 2008 in La Jolla, CA.

The BioSpace Career Fair attracted a steady flow of well-qualified biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics career candidates from around southern California. The event offered a variety of biotech jobs, pharmaceutical careers, clinical research jobs, and many other life science opportunities. Some of the organizations hiring qualified candidates included Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Illumina, Johnson & Johnson, KForce Inc., and Pfizer Global Research & Development.

BioSpace handled all the targeted marketing for the event and pre-screened the 800 candidates in attendance. Engineers, pharmaceutical sales representatives, clinical research professionals, biologists, chemists and many other industry professionals attended to interview with some of the top biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical firms. Companies such as Aerotek Scientific, Allergan, Bio-Rad Laboratories, and Teva Parenteral Medicines were looking for candidates to continue in pharmaceutical careers, clinical research careers, biotechnology careers and many other life science positions. The exhibiting companies have access to a private, searchable BioSpace Resume Database containing the resumes of those that registered for the event.
