BioSpace Career Fair in Bethesda, Maryland Draws Hundreds of Industry Professionals

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, the leading biotech job board and life science career fair company, welcomed over 300 biotechnology and pharmaceutical job seekers to the BioSpace Career Fair on October 23, 2007 in Bethesda, MD.

The BioSpace Career Fair attracted a steady flow of well qualified biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics career candidates from around the Maryland biotechnology cluster and Mid-Atlantic region. The event offered a variety of biotech jobs, pharmaceutical sales careers, clinical research jobs, and many other life science careers. Some of the organizations hiring qualified candidates included Acambis, Bridge Global Pharmaceuticals, Emergent BioSolutions, Invitrogen Corporation, and Kelly Scientific Resources.

BioSpace handled the biotech career fair management, operations and logistics, which provided a productive day for biotech companies and job candidates. The BioSpace Marketing and Events team planned and executed all of the advertising for the event, and prescreened the 300 candidates in attendance.

Business development specialists, toxicologists, clinical research professionals, biologists, chemists and many others attended to interview with some of the top biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical firms. Companies including Osiris Therapeutics and SAIC-Frederick were hiring for biotech business development careers, pharmaceutical facility management jobs, cell biology careers, bioinformatics jobs, and medical affairs careers. The exhibiting companies also have access to a private, searchable BioSpace Biotech Resume Database containing the resumes of those that registered for the event.
