She developed multimedia training for the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries for more than a decade, during which she directed, wrote, edited, and instructionally designed print-based training, eLearning, live and online synchronous workshops, and audio/video-based training. She also spent several years covering international medical conferences as a continuing education medical writer.

At BioSoteria, Flewell is responsible for driving the development of the company's online pharmacovigilance curriculum, known as eLadder™ Safety. Flewell assembled a multi-disciplinary team of subject-matter experts, instructional designers, medical illustrators, graphic designers, animators, eLearning programmers and learning management system (LMS) specialists. Several courses in the comprehensive pharmacovigilance curriculum have been released throughout 2009 and have been extremely well received by drug safety and training professionals in companies large and small.
