About Dr. Philip Tierno

Dr. Tierno is a consultant to BioNeutral. He is the Director of Clinical Microbiology and Diagnostic Immunology at Langone NYU Medical Center. He is also an Associate Professor at the New York University School of Medicine, NYU College of Dentistry and SUNY School of Optometry in New York City. Dr. Tierno is a member of the NYC Mayor's MRC (Medical Reserve Corps) and a former member of New York City's task force on bioterrorism. Dr. Tierno's work in the field of microbiology has resulted in numerous articles and texts that have been published in medical and scientific journals. He is co-editor and author of several books on microbes and biological protection.
