Discounted Cholesterol Test Kits Help Women Detect Serious Health Problems While Making Charitable Donations

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Yes, the truth sometimes hurts. But when it comes to women's health, it's better to face the facts: one in four women in the United States dies of heart disease. Although significant progress has been made in increasing awareness among women, most people fail to make the connection between risk factors and their personal risk for developing heart disease.

These sobering statistics have motivated BioIQ to offer 20 percent discounts on home test kits this February during American Heart Month, enabling women to screen for heart disease at home by conducting a complete lipid panel (HDL, LDL, Triglycerides, and Total Cholesterol). Half of the discount will be returned to the person ordering the test. The other half will be donated to non-profit groups helping to raise awareness about heart disease.

"Our goal is to give women a personal and urgent wakeup call about their risk for heart disease," said Justin Bellante, CEO of BioIQ. "We are encouraging women to take positive steps to improve their health. In the process, they will make a donation that helps other women across the country."

This special promotion coincides with Valentine's Day to encourage people to order test kits for their loved ones (men and women). Simply visit the BioIQ website and enter this promotion code into your shopping cart: HeartHealth09. BioIQ will ship a test kit to the specified address.
