FREDERICK, Md., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BioElectronics Corporation (BIEL) announced today that it has appointed Abdulkader Al-Mehyar Moh'd Basheer Halawy as sales agent and distributor in the Middle Eastern region. The company launched the new sales program with orders for 20,000 units.

"These are significant initial orders for BioElectronics Corporation showing that this region has a strong demand for drug-free medical products," said Andrew J. Whelan explained that Dr. Halawy has had significant sales management and training experience at Pfizer and several other leading pharmaceutical companies. As demonstrated by his initial launch, Dr. Halawy has developed an extensive network of contacts throughout the region. He will be located in Riyadh, and will be responsible for sales throughout the region.
