Bio-Tec Environmental Introduces Their New Plastic Additive Showing 45% Biodegradation of Plastics in Just 14 Days
Date:11/15/2008

After several years in development, Bio-Tec Environmental today launched its next-generation biodegradable plastics additive. The new product passed ASTM International's strictest test for anaerobic biodegradation of plastic materials and far surpasses its predecessor in economy and performance.

Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) November 15, 2008 -- After several years in development, Bio-Tec Environmental today launched its next-generation biodegradable plastics additive. The new product passed ASTM International's strictest test for anaerobic biodegradation of plastic materials and far surpasses its predecessor in economy and performance.

Their new formulation biodegrades materials up to five times faster than Bio-Batch. It can be used at 0.7% by load weight to render most plastic materials 100% biodegradable in time. As validated by the ASTM method of anaerobic biodegradation, the accelerated rate of action allows microbes to break down the structure of polypropylene and polyethylene up to 45% in 14 days. Third party testing for PVC, polystyrene, PET, EVA and various other major resins confirms the superior results.

Bio-Tec Environmental entered a patent for the product. "We designed our new entry to withstand extreme temperatures of more than 550° F," said John Lake CEO/President "Such high performance attributes allow for possible use in resins like ABS, nylons, rubber and numerous other demands."

Bio-Tec Environmental's R&D team expects to launch a liquid form of the formulation in the second quarter of 2009.

The company invites you to attend a live, one-on-one demonstration of how fast and clean biodegradation can be for your product. Take advantage of this opportunity. Visit Bio-Tec Environmental or call (505) 999-1160.
