Bio Career Center Becomes Top in Nation for Life Sciences Careers
Date:4/28/2009

e site has become an industry leader because it offers employers high-quality candidates with strong life sciences educational backgrounds. In fact, nearly half of Bio Career Center's candidates are alumni. Other job boards include applicants from a host of fields, requiring employers to sort through stacks of resumes that aren't targeted to their needs.

"Since all of the candidates on our site are postgraduate life scientists and M.D.s, we know they have a passion for science," said site founder Nick Folger. "More than 40 percent of our candidates have as much as 15 years of experience. No other job board offers such an educated and experienced population of applicants, all of whom specialize in the life sciences."

Folger said that passionate candidates in the right jobs are more productive and last longer in their career paths. They also tend to show more energy and ideas during the interview process, leading to more successful placements, he contends.
