Bill Pollock, President and CEO of Pharmagistics Group, Named to PharmaVOICE List of 100 Most Inspiring and Influential Leaders in the Life Sciences
Date:8/19/2008

SOMERSET, N.J., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Pollock, president and CEO of the Pharmagistics Group, the premier provider of technology-based and non-personal-delivered messages and solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry, has been selected by PharmaVOICE magazine as one of the 100 most inspiring and influential leaders in the life sciences. The Pharmagistics Group is a suite of four companies within the Publicis Healthcare Communications Group.

The honor was announced in the July/August issue of PharmaVOICE, which annually pays tribute to the top leaders in all areas of the pharmaceutical industry. Candidates were nominated by peers, then evaluated by a panel of PharmaVOICE editors on their proven ability to inspire, motivate and influence greatness in corporate leadership, research and development, technology, creativity, marketing and strategy within the life sciences. Nominees were also evaluated on their commitment and service to their colleagues, companies and communities.

"Bill Pollock is a true leader, showing every day how to do great work and maintain a life balance," the PharmaVOICE editors wrote. "While demonstrating a remarkable track record for growing companies, he never loses sight of the personal side of the business."

A trendspotter and entrepreneur, Pollock started one of the first contract sales organizations, Healthcare Promotions, which eventually became Ventiv Health US Sales. He also foresaw that increasingly stringent regulatory guidelines would pose complex challenges for pharma marketers, leading to the founding of Pharmagistics, which uses technology to help companies track and monitor vast quantities of information and efficiently comply with government regulations.

The editors also cited Pollock's commitment to others as a reason for his selection to the PharmaVOICE 100, in the work place, at home, and in his community. "He promotes a culture of accountability, excellent customer care, and fun," th
