Best Lawyers Names William Kitchens, Bertram Levy 'Lawyers of the Year' in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Aug. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Two Arnall Golden Gregory attorneys have earned special recognition from Best Lawyers as "Lawyers of the Year" in their fields in Atlanta.

William H. Kitchens is the 2014 Atlanta Biotechnology Law Lawyer of the Year and Bertram L. Levy is the 2014 Atlanta Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year.

Mr. Kitchens is a partner in Arnall Golden Gregory's national Food and Drug Practice.  He advises companies in the food, medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries on a range of issues, including strategies for obtaining Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approvals of products, clinical trials, risk management, advertising and labeling, compliance with manufacturing and post-approval requirements, and defending government investigations. 

Mr. Kitchens has spoken and written extensively on food and drug law  topics.  He is an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law, where he has taught food and drug law for 34 years.

Mr. Levy leads Arnall Golden Gregory's Private Wealth Practice.  Mr. Levy's practice, which is national in scope, focuses on complex wealth transfer planning for high net worth families, including charitable planning and sophisticated post-mortem planning and administration.  He has special expertise with issues arising from the transfer of large family business interests and with family business succession planning.

Mr. Levy frequently lectures and writes about wealth transfer and charitable subjects, and is co-author of the leading treatise on Georgia estate planning and estate administration. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and former Chair of the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
