BEIJING and CLAREMONT, Calif., Feb. 27 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kiwa Bio-Tech Products Group Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: KWBT) announced that Kiwa is being considered as a supplier of bio-fertilizers for the vegetable farms selected to supply the Olympic Village and hotels during the 2008 Olympics. Kiwa also announced that Wei Li, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Company, would participate in an interview with WallSt.net March 5, 2008.
A vegetable planting-base administrated by Beijing Lufulong Vegetable Corp. was designated for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Vegetable Planting-Base by the Organizing Committee for the Games. The vegetable-planting base will be in charge of supplying vegetables to the Olympic Village and hotels during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
From Feb. 22 to Feb. 25, the CEO of Kiwa, Mr. Wei Li; the General Manager of Kiwa Shangdong, Mr. Yunlong Zhang; and the Director of Kiwa-CAU R&D Center and Professor of China Agricultural University, Prof. Qi Wang were invited to examine the farms in Yanqing County designated for growing vegetables for the Olympics. Subsequently, three of Kiwa's fertilizer products including refined organic fertilizer were selected for field tests in the 30 vegetable planting greenhouses of Beijing Yanqing Vegetable Farms. According to the planting test schedule results will come out around Mar. 15.
