ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Inc.com has again included Baxa Corporation on its annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country. Baxa ranked number 4,611 and was among the top five industries ranked on the 2008 list. The company has grown steadily since its founding in 1975 and currently employs more than 450 associates through its Colorado headquarters and UK subsidiary offices.
"The Inc 5000 list promotes the very best in American business today," notes Greg Baldwin, Baxa Chairman and CEO. "We're honored to be recognized again among entrepreneurial businesses as one of the private companies that is driving our economy." Baxa also ranked number 14 this year in the Best Companies to Work for in Colorado ranking. That program honors Colorado companies that demonstrate dedication to employee growth and quality of life.
Inc. participants range from manufacturing to IT services and business services, reporting combined revenues of $185.4 billion and 334% growth. As do the other Inc. 5000 companies, Baxa Corporation's statistics prove that the US economy is not slowing its growth. The company has posted 52% growth in the last three years. Most important this year was that the Inc. 5000 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 826,033 jobs since they were founded.
According to Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan, "The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth."
The Inc. 5,000 list is an extension of Inc. magazine's annual 500 list, intended to cover the many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500 list; as well as a host of smaller firms. According to the Inc. reviewers, these entrepreneurial companies represent the backbone of the US economy.
