BIT Group Partners with BioNano Genomics to Produce Revolutionary Genomics Platform
Date:7/29/2013

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2013

BIT Group announces the successful partnering with BioNano Genomics of San Diego, CA to produce the Award Winning Irys instrument – part of the Irys System, a revolutionary new genome mapping platform system which allows the study of DNA and the unique aspects of genomes that cannot currently be detected by other methods. BNG’s breakthrough technology empowers genomics researchers with a new way of achieving more accurate and comprehensive discoveries, including structural variation analysis and sequence assemblies.

The Irys instrument is a Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA) winner for 2013. BIT Group’s established molecular competence and specialized molecular R&D skill sets proved so fruitful in its relationship with BioNano that BIT was not only chosen to produce the first generation of Irys, but also to align with BioNano to plan and develop the second. Other recent molecular instrumentation achievements by BIT Group include Ion Torrent’s “Ion PGM™ Sequencer as well as a DNA robotic system for a blood bank.

BIT Group provides contract product development, manufacturing and after-sales service for life science research, medical and IVD instrumentation. Quality standards include GMP, FDA registered, ISO13485 & 9001, QSR, Class I, II, and III. BIT global operations in USA, Germany, France, China & Japan deliver precision engineered, cost effective systems solutions. Pre-engineered BIT SMARTSOLUTIONS™ platform technologies reduce development cost and time-to-market; lean manufacturing centers and global supply chain enable competitive product cost.
