BIOCOM Announces Second Annual Investor Conference

Conference to Feature Public and Private Life Science Companies from

Southern California

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- BIOCOM, the association for the Southern California life science community, is proud to announce that its second annual BIOCOM Investor Conference will be held at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar from Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2007.

Featuring almost 60 innovative public and private biotech and medical device companies, the BIOCOM Investor Conference will include presentations from both large and small life science companies located throughout the Southern California region. The two-day conference, which is preceded by an opening reception on Oct. 31, is presented by Montgomery & Co., Acumen BioFin, CIBC World Markets, UBS, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, BioMed Realty Trust and California Manufacturing Technology Consulting.

"The second BIOCOM investor conference will be an ideal forum for investors to get to know the leading companies in the Southern California life science community," said Joe Panetta, president and CEO of BIOCOM. "This is an exclusive chance to hear from the Southern California biotech and medical device companies that are helping to change the face of healthcare."

The two-day conference will include an evening opening reception on October 31 and two full-days of company presentations, with one-on-one meetings and two plenary breakfasts and a plenary luncheon on Nov. 1.

Institutional, venture capital, private and retail investors are all welcome at the event, with accredited investors receiving free admission (contact Valerie Sanderson, vsanderson@biocom.org for more information).

The deadline to apply for a presentation slot has passed, but waiting list applications are still being accepted in case any of the presenting companies cannot fulfill their commitment. Contact Valerie Sanderson for more information.
