Avomeen Selects 3rd Annual 2017 Science Student Scholarship Program Winners
Date:9/19/2017

Avomeen Analytical Services, an Ann Arbor based chemical testing laboratory, is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2017 Science Student Award. The scholarship program is dedicated to helping those who demonstrate high academic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities, and involvement with community service defray the costs of obtaining their science education.

Avomeen began the annual scholarship program in 2015 in support of career development for the future of those in the scientific industry.

The 2017 Winners are:

1st Place ($1,000 Scholarship) – Amy E. is studying Cardiovascular Perfusion at the Medical University of South Carolina. “I am incredibly grateful to have been chosen as the recipient of this scholarship. I am eager to give back to the scientific community through my education and career as a cardiovascular perfusionist and this scholarship is helping to make that possible. Thank you!”

2nd Place ($500 Scholarship) – Connor T. is studying Atmospheric Science-Meteorology at the University of Alabama-Huntsville. “Thank you so much for choosing me this year’s second-place award winner! I am very grateful, and this only pushes me harder to succeed in the field of Atmospheric Science!”

“Each year we receive a high volume of truly praiseworthy individuals, and this year was no exception,” said Mark Harvill, CEO of Avomeen Analytical Services. “While the awardees represent a diverse scientific background, each expressed a high level of desire for the opportunity and their personal stories about what drove them were truly inspiring.”
