Attorney Wayne Keown Joins Preti Flaherty's Portland, ME Office

Today Preti Flaherty announced that Wayne Keown has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its Intellectual Property Group and will be practicing primarily out of its Portland office. Keown is a highly-experienced patent prosecutor with a strong background in Pharma/Biotech matters.

Portland, Maine (Vocus) January 13, 2010 -- Today Preti Flaherty announced that Wayne Keown has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its Intellectual Property Group and will be practicing primarily out of its Portland office. Keown is a highly-experienced patent prosecutor with a strong background in Pharma/Biotech matters. He brings 20 years of experience in prosecution, litigation, due diligence, opinion work, licensing and portfolio development and management to Preti Flaherty. He has extensive experience in U.S. and European patent office and court proceedings, Pharma/Biotech collaboration agreements and public and private investments.

Keown holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and brings his extensive knowledge of biology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry and medical technology to his patent law practice.

According to attorney Alfred Frawley, Chair of Preti Flaherty’s Intellectual Property Group, “Wayne is an acknowledged leader in the Biotech IP field.
