Americord Registry Announces Andrew Horne as Advisory Board Member

NEW YORK, June 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Americord Registry, one of the fastest growing cord blood banks in the U.S., announced Andrew Horne, a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, as the newest member of its Advisory Board.

Andrew Horne is a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and has over 15 years of experience both practicing and studying law. He holds degrees from Harvard Law School (LL.M.), Glasgow Graduate School of Law (Dip. L.P.) and University of Strathclyde (LL.B.). He has represented companies in an array of fields including technology, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, biotech, insurance, defense and entertainment industries.

"Mr. Horne's experience in broad commercial litigation processes for public and private companies, including Fortune 50 companies, brings new perspective and insight to Americord's initiatives and direction," says Smithmyer. Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Mr. Horne taught international private law and torte law at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. He is currently an Associate Fellow at the Society for Advanced Legal Studies and was a John F. Kennedy Memorial Scholar at Harvard Law School.
