American Laboratory Trading Continues Steady Growth with Expansion in Boston
Date:7/16/2013

Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 16, 2013

American Laboratory Trading (ALT), the largest provider of used laboratory equipment in North America, has launched a new office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The company, which specializes in providing high quality, pre-owned HPLC, GC, Spectroscopy, FTIR and other analytical lab equipment, will now provide dedicated, local sales, customer service and technical support for research labs and biopharma companies in and around greater Boston.

“As a small process research development company, we have relied on used lab equipment as a means to supply our growing lab space at a cost that suits our budget,” said Nayan Amin, director of R&D at Boston-based custom chemical manufacturer, PCI Synthesis. “ALT has always provided us with excellent customer service and having a team in the Boston area provides a tremendous advantage. The local presence will allow us to acquire equipment more easily and quickly.”

Backed by the depth and breadth of its inventory, which includes essential lab furnishings from small lab accessories to complex systems, ALT has served over 20,000 customers worldwide over the past decade. With a presence in Boston, the company is now uniquely positioned to support Massachusetts-based research laboratories and academic institutions that are conducting the latest cutting-edge research. The company provides instrumentations from leading manufacturers such as Agilent Technologies, Beckman Coulter and PerkinElmer, among others.

Boston and Cambridge represent a well-established life science hub; with Massachusetts based companies raising more than $860 million in 2012.

“Boston was a natural expansion choice for us, as an exciting life science hub with many innovative companies spanning a number of sectors that can benefit from our services,” says Jayson Bernstein, ALT Chief Operating Officer. “The move allows us to provide budget conscious labs and biopharma companies in the area with a range of quality equipment they would normally not have access to.”
