For the second time in three years, the Best of State Program's
independent judges have recognized American Biotech Labs(R) as Utah's top
company in the Medical Innovation category

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, June 4 /PRNewswire/ - American Biotech Labs, LLC (ABL), developer of a new class of products based on the company's patented nano-catalytic SilverSol Technology(R), today announced that the company has won the 2009 Utah Best of State award in the category of Medical Innovation. It is the company's second Best of State award in the past three years.

"We are honored that the Best of State judges have chosen to honor ABL with a 2009 Best of State award in the Medical Innovation category," said Dr. William Moeller, a managing director at American Biotech Labs. "This recognition highlights the reality that we are in the midst of a period of tremendous growth, as an increasing number of people throughout the world are beginning to recognize the benefits of ABL's uniquely effective patented silver products."

ABL received its Best of State award May 30 at the 2009 Best of State Awards Gala, a formal dinner event in the Salt Palace Convention Center Ballroom in Salt Lake City. The Best of State program, now in its seventh year, is a multi-faceted recognition program created by award-winning writer, producer and director Mark Layton and 20-year production and management executive Dana Layton to highlight excellence in business, government, education, philanthropy and the arts in Utah.

Winners for the annual Best of State event are chosen for their excellence in a wide variety of endeavors. Candidates are judged based on three criteria: achievement within their field of endeavor (50 percent); innovation or creativity in approach, techniques, methods or processes (30 percent); and contribution to improving the quality of life in Utah (20 percent).
