"I look forward to meeting with academic, governmental and private sector leaders to discuss ways to utilize solid accreditation standards as a foundation for best practices in research and manufacturing, and to partially mitigate the risks of bio-terrorism."

During his visit, Dr. Burnette will speak at the Lab Design Seminar taking place January 19th - 20th at Biopolis, the biomedical R&D hub at one-north, a 200 hectare vibrant hotspot for R&D innovation and test-bedding. Organized by JTC Corporation, the master developer for one-north, the inaugural seminar, a first for Singapore, will be the ideal networking forum for international thought leaders, scientists, developers and other professionals to come together to exchange invaluable insights and experiences on specialty lab design.

"Biopolis has seeded the Biomedical research industry in Singapore and garnered international attention," said Philip Su, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, JTC Corporation. "We are privileged to have Dr. Burnette speak at this event, which will encourage greater sharing between design professionals from all over the world, and break boundaries between different international practices."
