Akaza Research to Present OpenClinica 3.0 at Upcoming Clinical Research Conferences: SoCRA, SCDM
Date:9/9/2009

The newest version of the popular clinical trials software makes its debut at leading industry conferences.

Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) September 9, 2009 -- Akaza Research, the leading provider of open source clinical trials software, will be presenting the newest version of its flagship product, OpenClinica, at two major industry conferences this fall.

Representatives from Akaza will be presenting OpenClinica 3.0 at the annual meeting of the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), in Nashville, Tennessee, September 25-27. In addition, OpenClinica 3.0 will be exhibited at the annual conference of the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM), October 4-6 in Seattle, Washington.

OpenClinica version 3.0 contains powerful new capabilities for making EDC and clinical data management more productive, such as automatic job scheduling, enhanced support for medical coding, and a web services interface. Cal Collins, CEO of Akaza Research, noted, "For our 3.0 release, OpenClinica community members have been intimately involved in product development and pilot testing. This has produced features that will greatly increase the productivity and accuracy of CRCs, investigators, monitors, and data managers."

At the upcoming conferences, instances of the software will be readily available for people to "test drive," and experts will be on hand to answer questions.
