Advanced Life Sciences Common Stock Begins Trading on OTC Bulletin Board

- Company to Host 2009 First Quarter Financial Results Conference Call and Webcast -

CHICAGO, May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Advanced Life Sciences Holdings, Inc. announced today that its common stock is eligible for quotation and trading on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB) under the trading symbol "ADLS."

The Company also announced today that it will host a conference call and webcast discussing the Company's 2009 first quarter results on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT). Michael T. Flavin, Ph.D., Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, as well as other members of the management team, will also present an update on the Company. A press release reporting the 2009 first quarter results will be issued before the U.S. stock markets open on Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

The conference call will be webcast simultaneously over the Internet. Please visit the Investor Relations section of the Advanced Life Sciences corporate website www.advancedlifesciences.com.
