Fast-acting topical pain reliever lands its first national retail drug

chain

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- ALCiS Health, Inc., a provider of patented pain relief products, today announced that Walgreens, the nation's largest drugstore chain, is stocking its over-the-counter topical pain relief cream, ALCiS Daily Relief, at all of its 6,237 stores. Its introduction onto Walgreens' shelves across the United States marks the product's first national retail drug store account.

Brian Berchtold, president and CEO of ALCiS Health said, "I'm pleased with the reception ALCiS Daily Relief is getting by consumers and health care professionals alike."

Since its inception in 2004, ALCiS has focused on a sampling and educational program for health care professionals to help establish the ALCiS brand and demonstrate the product's efficacy to the medical community. Over 5,000 medical professionals, including pain specialists, rheumatologists, orthopedic surgeons and family practitioners, participate in the ALCiS sampling program.

"My patients who have used ALCiS Daily Relief have told me that they love this product," said Lonnie Zeltzer, MD, Director, Pediatric Pain Program, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. "It's not messy, it's easy to use, and it relieves sore muscles."

ALCiS Daily Relief is a pleasantly scented, topical pain reliever that appeals to those consumers that retailers like Walgreens target everyday, particularly female baby boomers.

Including Walgreens, ALCiS Daily Relief can now be found on shelves at 8,200 retail stores including regional drugstore chains Duane Reade throughout the New York tri-state area, Longs Drugs in California and Nevada, and a host of other retail drugstore chains, as well as a select number of specialty sports retail stores.
