5AM Solutions Announces Release of the Ion AmpliSeq™ Designer v1.2
Date:6/19/2012

Reston, VA (PRWEB) June 19, 2012

5AM Solutions is excited to announce the v1.2 release of the Ion AmpliSeq™ Designer assay design tool. The tool, co-developed by 5AM and Life Technologies Corporation, allows Ion Torrent users to design custom, ultrahigh-multiplex primer pools for use in targeted resequencing projects. The new release features enhanced usability, improved target coverage, and integrated viewing of designs in the UCSC Genome Browser.

From the initial launch of the Ion AmpliSeq™ Designer in November 2011, 5AM has worked closely with Life Technologies to develop the AmpliSeq™ Designer software, enabling scientists in targeted exploration of the human genome. “The improvements we've made on the Ion AmpliSeq™ Designer 1.2 will make it even easier for our customers to create custom panels for resequencing,” said Anup Parikh, Senior Product Manager for Ion Torrent, part of Life Technologies. “We are committed to innovative technology to streamline research for our customers, and the 5AM team is deeply committed in this endeavor to ensure the success of our product.”
