Europe's leading BTL project developers, including BTG-BTL, Xynergo AS and UPM-Kymmene will be sharing an update on their planned BTL plants and Pilot projects at 4th BTLtec. Also on the agenda are key sessions by Idaho National Laboratory, Purdue University, Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (FZK) and Velocys on the latest innovations in cost-effective Biomass conversion.
4th BTLtec also examines innovations in Biomass Gasification and Bio Syngas production, from the European UNIQUE project, Haldor Topsoe, Agnion Technologies GmbH and Southern Research, and key representatives from the European Commission JRC and Volkswagen will provide an end users' perspective on BTL fuels.
To complete the program, an optional half-day site visit to the Biomass CHP Plant in Güssing, Austria is also planned on the September 25, 2009. The combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Güssing, Austria started operations in January 2002. The plant has a fuel capacity of 8 MW and an electrical output of about 2 MWel with an electrical efficiency of about 25 %. Biomass CHP Plant Güssing has also developed a pilot project to convert Biomass into Fischer-Tropsch diesel, which will be showcased at the site visit tour.
4th BTLtec builds on the globally recognised BTLtec conference series, which has welcomed over 300 BTL stakeholders from 40 countries to date. Attendees at the 4th BTLtec conference will include key decision makers in the BTL and renewable energy sector, who will shape the future of this dynamic and viable industry.
