1DegreeBio Inc. Boosts Review-Driven Reagent Marketplace with New e-Commerce Platform
Date:6/14/2013

Toronto, ON / Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 14, 2013

1DegreeBio Inc., the world’s largest independent resource for life scientists to share product and service provider reviews, announced new e-commerce features within the growing 1DegreeBio marketplace. A first of its kind solution, scientists can quickly browse through hundreds of vendor catalogues, access community-submitted product reviews, see where products were cited, create purchase orders, email products to lab managers and now purchase these products directly through 1DegreeBio.

“Scientists must be discerning customers, arming themselves with the best tools for their experiments,” said Alexandra Hodgson, founder and CEO. “We’re thrilled to take this major step forward by streamlining the process all the way to point of purchase, which ultimately enables researchers to spend more time tackling research questions.”

The enhanced purchase process for scientists is also extremely beneficial for product and service providers.

“We take great pride in the quality of our chicken-host antibodies. Our immunoreagents are perfect complement for use alongside rabbit and mouse antibodies for double and triple-labeling studies - and 1DegreeBio’s has been a great venue to promote them.” says Fazilah Adam, President at Aves Labs. “We’re excited to be a part of their new e-Commerce Marketplace and look forward to having our product even more accessible to the research community.

For the initial launch, e-commerce functionality will be limited to connecting North American customers with the database of international product vendors.

“1DegreeBio is the new generation of product sourcing in Life Science, where purchase decisions are made based on community data and recommendations.”
