Description Yeast nitrogen base (YNB) is a base medium for preparation of minimal and synthetic defined yeast media. YNB contains ammonium sulfate but does not contain amino acids. Both bulk and convenient single-use pouches are available. Each pouch contains reagents to prepare 500 ml of 10X YNB for Pichia media or 1000 ml of 10X YNB for S. cerevisiae media. Store at 15C to 30C. Guaranteed stable for 6 months when properly stored.
