Description UltraPure Agarose and SYBR Safe DNA Gel Stain combo offers these benefits: Saves money versus buying these same products separately Offers a safer and better alternative to ethidium bromide Eliminates risks to yourself, the environment and your institution Agarose resolves DNA and RNA fragments from 100 bp to >30 kb. UltraPure Agarose is a standard melting temperature, multi-purpose agarose that is ideal for routine separation analysis. Its high gel strength specification ensures that gels will not break during handling, or during Southern and northern transfers. UltraPure Agarose can also be used in some protein electrophoresis applications, such as Ouchterlony (antigen-antibody interaction assay) and radial immunodiffusion (RID) (antigen quantitation assay). Agarose is used for: Analytical separation of DNA, RNA, and PCR fragments >1,000 bp Recovery of DNA, RNA, and PCR fragments >1,000 bp Southern and northern blotting of fragments >1,000 bp Ouchterlony and radial immunodiffusion (RID)SYBR Safe DNA Gel Stain provides sensitive DNA and RNA detection with substantially reduced mutagenicity, making it much safer to use than ethidium bromide. It is provided as a convenient ready-to-use solution that can be used either for post-staining or incorporated into gels. The detection sensitivity with SYBR Safe is comparable to that obtained with ethidium bromide. DNA bands stained with SYBR Safe DNA gel stain can be detected using a blue light transilluminator such as Invitrogens Safe Imager, a standard UV transilluminator, or a laser-based scanner. Bound to nucleic acids, the green-fluorescent SYBR Safe stain has fluorescence excitation maxima at ~280 and ~502 nm, and an emission maximum at ~530 nm. To learn more about how SYBR Safe DNA Gel Stain is better for you, better for the environment, better for your institution, and better for your sample, visit www.invitrogen.com/sybrsafe.Performance and Quality Testing: Performance of UltraPure Agarose is evaluated by gel analysis using a control lot of nucleic acid molecular size standards. No DNase or RNase activity detected.
