Description The Staccato Series of systems provide fast and reliable scalable automation for today's drug discovery , genomics, proteomics and drug development laboratories. Staccato systems are available in three base configurations; Mini Workstation Series, Application Series and Custom Systems Series.

All Staccato Application Series systems use a revolutionary new base table design called iBLOX™. iBLOX™ are modular tables that can be interconnected to form a variety of system configurations, using just three basic foundations, (A-Block, B-Block and C-Block). Each table comes with casters, allowing them to be easily rolled about, set in place and quickly leveled for operation. iBLOX™ provide "usable scalability" in that one can start with just a Sciclone liquid handler on an "A Block" and add additional automation at a later time, with no reconfiguration or loss of initial investment.

All Staccato iBLOX based systems are pre-integrated and arrive mostly assembled, requiring minimal installation. All system components are pre-mounted and all device locations are taught at the factory. Automated teaching routines are included allowing the system to be re-taught in the field in less than five minutes. Methods are easily and quickly created using Caliper's industry leading iLink software. Caliper's Applied Science & Technology Group works with a variety of reagent and consumables manufactures to pre-validate common assays for all Caliper systems.
